As some of you are aware cancer has hit home with Annette's husband Colin recently losing his fight to pancreatic cancer (15 July 2021) Colins dad, Jim, passed from Pancreatic cancer in October 2019, Colins sister Karen, losing half a lung to cancer as well as Annettes mum Carol also suffering the same fate - we both know so many friends & family that have lost their lives to cancer and others that are still fighting, so please make sure to follow our progress via this page and the blog post below.
We hope they can find a cure soon!!

THIS IS WHAT SHITBOX RALLY IS ALL ABOUT >>>
We are really pleased to announce that we're taking part in Shitbox Rally 2021 Spring!! This year, all the teams are driving their shitboxes from Mackay to Darwin.
Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for the Cancer Council in Australia and is now in its 11th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of $5,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the 2021 Spring rally target set at $5,000,000 plus.
These funds go to the Cancer Council and we are extremely proud to be doing our part to support such a worthy charity. The fundraising is the hard part, so any donation you can give is greatly appreciated.
Shitbox Rally is the adventure of a lifetime challenging participants and their cars, worth no more than $1,000, on a 7 day drive across Australia to raise money for cancer research.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally.
Thank you to have donated to our page/Cancer crusade, the donations don't have to been large, a dollar will do!!

With sad news I inform all that are following us that my husband Colin lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on 15th July. He was 58 years old. A life taken too soon he didn't want to die he had so much to live for. He fought so hard to stay with us as he so desperately wanted to join us for the Shitbox Rally either as my co driver or waiting for us at the finish in Darwin. Unfortuantely cancer had another agenda, taking him quickly.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the worse cancers to get and I have cared for him endlessly for 3 years 8months, Please if you get any unusual pain in your left side go and see the doc, it may save your life,
We now have my daughter Sue-Ellen on board as my co driver and we are determined to get to Mackay in Oct to do this rally but we need YOU to help us get there with donations.
All donations go to Cancer Council research & now Pancare is now close to my heart and are also a benefiiciary of our fundraising.
Please donate what you can it doesnt have to be a huge amount but evry little bit counts.

Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.
Thanks to the community funds raised such as Shitbox Rally we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.
Over $26 million has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:
These projects wouldn’t be possible without your support.
